The Military Families Fund is a natural partner for Motorcycle Ride for Dad as the organization celebrates ten years of saving lives in the fight against prostate cancer. Since the beginning, members of Canada’s Armed Forces have been enthusiastic and active supporters of The Motorcycle Ride for Dad throughout Canada and instrumental in its success. The Motorcycle Ride for Dad is grateful to Canada’s military and honoured to have the opportunity to partner with them in this exciting event.

Proceeds of this Cross Canada Tour will be shared between the Military Families Fund and the Motorcycle Ride for Dad. This is a joint effort as well as a unique and exciting opportunity to give back to our troops and their families and, at the same time raise awareness of prostate cancer.

In collaboration with the Military Families Fund, the 10th Anniversary Motorcycle Ride for Dad’s Cross Canada Celebration Tour will become a once-in-a-lifetime national event.

"Many Canadians have approached and asked how they could support our troops and their families in a variety of ways. This fund gives that generosity a home, and will provide us with a unique opportunity to support our families in the dark hours when they call out for help." General Rick Hillier (Ret)

"There are 1.2 million men in Canada with prostate cancer, yet 800,000 of them don't know they have it. That simple fact motivates us every day to get the word out," Janz continues. "The Ride links the fun of motorcycling and community mobilization with the very serious business of prostate cancer awareness. Our message is simple - early detection saves lives. Until a cure is found, our fight against prostate cancer will continue to roar down the streets of Canadian cities from coast to coast."
